Welcome to Hectors
There are places that ask us to slow down.
Hectors began here, in the South of France, amongst the olive trees, wild botanicals and gardens of the Mediterranean landscape that surrounds our atelier.
Our work is guided by the seasons and by the quiet abundance of this place. We gather inspiration from the gardens, from the changing light, from the scent of herbs warmed by the sun and from the simple rituals that have always belonged to Mediterranean life.
At our atelier, we make in small quantities by hand. French beeswax is poured into apothecary jars; petals and botanicals are gathered and carefully composed into confetti; oils, salts and plants become part of simple rituals for the home.
Nothing is hurried.
We believe that the everyday can be made more beautiful through small, considered details — the gentle light of a beeswax candle at dusk, a bath prepared with Mediterranean botanicals, flowers scattered across a linen table, or petals gathered from a summer garden and saved for a celebration.
Hectors Apothicaire is an exploration of these things.
A little apothecary rooted in the Mediterranean.
A place for making, gathering and preserving.
A celebration of botanicals, craftsmanship and slow living.
The Journal is our record of this life.
Here we will share the gardens and landscapes that inspire us, the botanicals as they appear through the seasons, the work of the atelier, new creations, old rituals and the quiet moments in between.
It is not a catalogue of what we make.
It is the story of why we make it.
Welcome to Hectors.
From our Mediterranean atelier, in the South of France.
